Gariki
The thrilling third installment in the Gar Trilogy of Games
Our top scientists have been experimenting with Gar and Gar-Related Technologies (GGRT) for the past 3 days. The culmination of their efforts lies before thee: Gariki, the first-ever time that a match-3 puzzle game has contained Gar.
How To Play Gariki
- Step 1: Select a Gar on the board and then match it with another one. Only matches that form a straight line of 3 or more can match.
- Step 2: At the end of the round, choose an upgrade to keep up with the increasingly steep point threshold.
- Step 3: Continue doing that
- Step 4: Give me several thousand dollars. This step is highly recommended for success
- Step 5: After a long and fulfilling life, pass away surrounded by your friends and family, to be reincarnated into Saṃsāra, the endless cycle of death and rebirth of which there is no escape but the enlightenment of Moksha (this step is mandatory)
Bejeweled, Candy Crush, and Balatro wish they could be as good as this. I travel in worlds you can't even imagine. You can't conceive of what I'm capable of. I'm so far beyond you. I'm like a god in human clothing. Lightning bolts shoot from my fingertips.

The point values doubling quickly becomes absolutely impossible to overcome even with the best play possible. This score was only possible because I reset until I got a super 3 million point combo on level 1, the special gars/powerups do basically nothing to improve your score in any significant way. Also the 0.25% chances of getting a powerup are totally worthless, especially since even if it shows up it easily can still just be in a place where you'll never get to match it.
I've just put up a new version with a much less steep curve of the point thresholds (although also nerfing the combo bonus). Please give it a try if you feel so inclined. also, congratulations on getting such a high combo score. it's probably a world record.
